The Polytechnic Library is one of the largest depositories of science and technology literature, celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2014. Today the Polytechnic Library’s stacks numbers 3.5 million issues, published in 16th–21st centuries in Russian and foreign languages.

Since 1921 the Library receives a legal copy of every issue on natural sciences and technology published in Russia, which makes the major source of acquisition.

The Library’s extensive stacks are represented through the system of catalogues and card indexes. Since 2004, newly acquired editions have been registered in the digital catalogue.

The Library is a member of the Russian Library Association and the International Association of Users and Developers of Electronic Libraries and New Information Technologies (ELNIT Association).

The Library is accessible for everyone over 18 years old, as well as for the students over 14 years old.
